On April 23, 2008, MeiHui reported in her blog that she had made a new friend named Thermantia, who encouraged her to consider traveling to New York. (Translation)
On April 24, MeiHui made her first English post in her blog, describing her Thermantia as "a very patient and kind girl" and again mentioning the possibility of traveling to New York.
In late April MeiHui shared Thermantia's email address, which is thermantia1920@gmail.com.

Thermantia was the mother of Theodosius I, the Roman Emperor who canceled the Olympic games in the year 393. This has led to speculation that MeiHui's Thermantia may be working with Theo.
