[edit] OMPHAPOWER! From Salvador, Brazil; Laval, France; and Garden City, US! (link)

[edit] July 21, 1.24pm
We have so much omphapower!
At least three more city labyrinths were built this weekend, on three continents! Thank you Team Salvador, Team Laval and Team Garden City!
Oh! In case you're curious, THIS is the building that Eli Hunt is using to stream our omphalabyrinth data to the other words. Can you say Biggest Omphalos EVER??
So, omph strength is up ridiculously high. But our omph NETWORK is totally broken still.
With these 3 new reports, we're up to 18 total. Only 9 more to go! And we're expecting reports soon from Boston, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Shenzhen, Beijing, Washington DC... team captains, send us your news of successful missions!
And Team Los Angeles, remember, YOU have a trackstick and we need YOUR knot before August 8th! We're counting on you!
If all of those teams get their labyrinth done, that gets us REALLY close to 27. But we still need a few more city captains! There's barely enough time to get a trackstick from Kai before August 8th, so GO GO GO GO! Submit a labyrinth design to Eli at thelostgames@gmail.com and ask Kai for a trackstick at kaitown@gmail.com!
I know, this is a Big Mission. But our friends who've completed their missions say it's a seriously awesome adventure. Yes, you might get exhausted. But we are SAVING THE WORLD PEOPLE! That's called GOOD exhaustion.
The captain of Team Salvador writes: "Salvador's Labyrinth is completed!
We did today and was very funny and a rewarding experience". Here's their waterfront labyrinth:
The captain of Team Laval writes: "Even if it's only a 4km run, i was quite tired in the end. Either i'm too much a sofia to do that much sport or there was more energy involved than just my own physical one."
Speaking of weird energies... check out this report from our Team Garden City captain:
"The omphalabyrinth was completed on July 7 from about 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm... after it was done I felt drained – almost as if the multiverse were drawing all of my energy to tie the knot, even though all I was doing was driving around the neighborhood. There was some rain at times, and I encountered some “sabotage”. There were a number of street signs that were removed, and an entire street was filled with construction such that I had to find another way around the twisting turns of the labyrinth. This will account for a bit of detouring and backtracking in the trackstick info.
"Now, I know this next part is going to sound really crazy, but I swear it is true. After completing the labyrinth, turning off the trackstick and getting on the highway to get back home, I saw… something. In the sky. It was really fast and at the time I thought it was just a trick of my tired eyes (I was very tired and drained, remember), but the vision never left me.
"I saw four lines streak through the sky overhead past me and heading back towards Garden City. As soon as they went by they were gone and the sky was normal.
"Now, I’m not saying that I saw the earth omphalos network hook up with the knot I just finished tying. All I’m saying is I saw four lines streak in from the east horizon heading west towards Garden City for about a second and a half, and then there was nothing there in the sky but clouds and blue. It happened too fast for me to take a picture of it with my camera unfortunately. Take that as you will; crazy talk, astigmatism, whatever."
Watch videos of this journey on Seero.
If YOU want to experience the POWER of the OMPHALOS, then you have to join our global network of city captains. Let's go, we have just over 2 and a half weeks to go!
P.S. You can download some omphalabyrinth Google Earth files!
