[edit] We found a new artifact in Buenos Aires! (And welcome to our mission!) (link)

[edit] March 31, 2008 12.55pm (last updated April 3)
We have Chapter 10 of The Lost Ring Codex, thanks to Victor in Buenos Aires!

For those of you who are new to our mission, welcome! We're collecting pages of a 100-year old secret manuscript that have been hidden in old cafes, bookstores, libraries, and other public buildings all over the world. The manuscript is called "The Lost Ring Codex", and we're hoping it will help us figure out what the lost ring is, and how to find it!

So how are we finding the artifacts? Well, we're using a strange portal website that we call the "omphaputer" (short for omphalos computer) and an ancient Greek GPS system called "the omphalos code" to figure out the locations of these "artifacts". We think the omphaputer is connecting us to a parallel universe created through the weirdness of quantum physics, and that the people in THAT world want us to find all of the artifacts before the Summer 2008 Olympics. We're still trying to figure out why.

By working together to solve the codes and visit the secret hiding places, we've found artifacts in 9 different countries on six different continents! It feels amazing to find so many clues to the lost ring mystery so fast, and to know that we have allies literally all over the world.

But the mission isn't accomplished yet. We think there are 27 artifacts total, so there are still a LOT more to find.

Now this new artifact is called "Parallel Geography", and the illustrations seems to show two different worlds - "Gaea" and "Pangaea".

There are some interesting coordinates marked on the illustration, too. I wonder what they mean?

Help us translate Chapter 10 and figure it out!

Download the big, pretty version of Chapter 10 from the Omphaputer!
